Carolyn Mills is a sustainable development leader, founder of Nepalaya, and international luxury hospitality strategist with over two decades of global experience. Her career spans executive owner’s representative and technical services roles for world-class brands including Walt Disney Imagineering, Belmond Hotels, and Royal Caribbean. Combining background degrees in Economics, Psychology, and Interior Architecture, Carolyn operates at the intersection of place-based destination design, heritage preservation, and regenerative tourism. Through Nepalaya, she leads transformative initiatives in Lamjung—such as the Himalayan Great Lakes Trail, Gurung Heritage Villas, and a proposed canopy walkway with the TREE Foundation—demonstrating how high-value, low-impact tourism can protect living landscapes and foster rural livelihoods.
