Biography
Prabha Gautam began her professional life as an engineer, working on hydropower projects across Nepal. These projects took her deep into the country’s remote landscapes — rugged terrains where rivers still ran wild and communities lived in harmony with nature. While her work focused on infrastructure and energy, her heart was quietly drawn to something else: the rich tapestry of ecosystems and human stories she encountered along the way. During these field visits, particularly in rural villages, Prabha saw the fragile beauty of Nepal’s wild spaces and began to question whether development could exist without damaging the very environments that gave life meaning. She began dreaming of a different kind of impact — one where conservation and commerce could thrive side by side.
